I think of Isabelle Adjani following a man she had a brief fling with to 19th century Halifax, of all places (The Story of Adele H.). I think of Mike White, desperate to recapture an intimacy shared with a childhood straight best friend (Chuck & Buck). I think of Glenn Close, of course.
